Case Studies in International Relations
Choose one of the following case studies attached included in the Google Classroom. Carefully read through it and fill out the worksheets below. Once you have filled in the worksheets, write a one page explanation of what you would have done differently using specific references/examples from the case study. Be sure to explain why you would make the choices you would and how you feel they would be better choices given the circumstances.
** We will be discussing the case studies in class as well.
What is the main Issue/Problem?
What was the Goal?
What was the Core Idea (metaphor, slogan, etc.)?
What tactics were used (actions or bundles of actions)?
List all of the key people/organizations involved in the situation.
Pick who you think is the most important person/organization involved in the situation and list the actions/tactics they used during the incident.
In the chart below, make a list of all the people/organizations that have resources available to them to help the situation (leaders, members of the UN, media etc.)

Choose either a goal or the main ‘actor’ in the event and examine the rules that affected the decisions that were made. Consider treaties, laws, or other policy documents/procedures. List them in the chart below and fill out the column.

Choosing the main goal that you highlighted above, list the factors that occurred that were outside of anyone’s control.
