The intent of my proposal is to show how the human resources can help McDonald operate and
compete on a global level. I would recommend having a training and development program that focuses
on cultural etiquette and diversity training. This will help employees know-how to effectively
communicate better with there customers, by knowing what is acceptable language to use, gestures,
such as hand movements, body language, appropriate facial expressions. This is important because as a
global company you want to make sure your employees are culturally aware of what the norms and
customs are to prevent any miscommunication.
The proposal can be implemented by having all employees attend a mandatory training session that
focuses on educating them with information based on the culture of each country to give the employee
a better understanding of how how they operate there. Human resource will go over the country’s
custom such as acceptable attire to wear, the proper way to communicate with members of the
communities. This will help in making sure the employees have all the tools and resources in to be
successful.
The expected outcome of the implementation will have an increase in overall customer satisfaction
reduce litigation, and increase employee retention rate. The three factors that are important to
McDonald are there employee, customers, and overall experience. This will in turn provide an increase
profit for McDonald results by giving them a bigger stake in the market than its competitors.

The intent of my HR proposal is to show how the Human Resources division can successfully partner
with the McDonald’s Corporation to operate and compete on a global level. In this strategic endeavor, I
would recommend implementing a training and development program that focuses on cultural
etiquette and diversity training initiatives. This will help the employee workforce fully understand how

language, appropriate facial expressions, and other culturally acceptable norms that positively influence
diversity initiatives within the organization. This is important because as a global company every
employee must be culturally aware of the specific norms and customs that represent the customers in
to prevent any miscommunication of potential situations.
This proposal can be implemented by having all employees attend mandatory training sessions that
focus on providing informational knowledge based on the culture of each country that McDonald’s
currently operates and competes on a global footprint. The Human Resources division will review each
countries customs (ie:, acceptable attire, language, local regulations), including the proper way to
communicate with the customers of the local communities. This will help ensure employees have all the
tools and resources necessary to be successful in a diverse environment.
The expected outcome of this HR training implementation will reflect an increase in overall customer
satisfaction, reduce potential litigation, improve our diversity efforts, and increase both employee
recruitment and retention rates. These identified factors are most important to McDonald’s overall
operating and global competitive status. In conjunction with an HR partnership, the diversity training
initiatives will provide an increased profit margin for the organization that results in a larger stake in the
market share then its competitors.
