Assignment Overview:

The students will interpret a Statement of CashFlow. They will need to show a solvent understanding of the topic and write a report interpreting the results calculated.

Overall aim:

This coursework will contribute to increasing student skills when analysing financial statements and their presentation in a written report format.

Learning outcomes:

1. Analyze a Hospitality operation’s performance using appropriate operational ratios and statistics.
2. Get an understanding of the notion of working capital, operating cash flow forecasting and operating cashflow cycle.

Organisation and methodology:

As an individual assignment, students will develop an exercise about cashflow, according to the template available in Moodle. Then the following tasks are required:

· Do the exercise and determinate all the results correctly.
· Carry out a report, interpreting the result of the Statement of CashFlow, with a detailed description of all the accounts included (CashFLow from operating activities, CashFlow from investing activities and CashFlow from financing activities).
· Also, a detailed explanation of the situation of the company, with regards to liquidity must be included.
