If the customers income is increased they can purchase more products but if reduced they cant afford to shop at Macys Macys beginning selling more advertised products such as Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren will strengthen them by differentiating them from their competitors Remodeling the stores for a nice pleasant environment. Broader aisles cleaner dressing rooms and bathrooms can benefit Macys Initiating a program called “Everyday Value” which was designed to minimize the use of promotional sales and coupons in favor of routine value pricing. Focusing on women as the primary target had benefit the Macys success Utilizing well-known celebrities as spokespeople could either increase or decrease Macys sales due to the celebritys reputation Closing stores and reopening them in national outlets and mall can benefit Macys. Majority of tourists and shoppers go to these locations whether than individual stores. Continuing to make their own clothing bedding and more products might sustain their sales because of the focus on women as their target. Although Macys experienced good and bad times they reconstructed their strategic decision in a sustainable approach. During the first several years they were unable to sell off their inventory but the important aspect is to allow the company to maintain their growth levels. I think they did find a unique and valuable position. It might not be the best but their goal is to maintain a protuberant presence in front of their stockholders and employees My prediction is that Macys might decline in the future. Theyre playing it safe now and that making pass by. But eventually their customers will get bored of the same products. For example: Target
