A short research project and presentation about an issue in the local communityService project presentations (10-15 minutes): A multimedia presentation (E-Maze Prezi Powerpoint etc.) that emphasizes how each of the Mercy values as well as the five critical concerns of the Sisters of Mercy relate to the project. (Please make sure it takes at least 10 minuets to read through the PowerPoint) First option: A short research project and presentation about an issue in the local community. First identify a community issue or need either in Pa. or the immediate area. Then find information about what is being done to address the issue either locally or nationally. Then come up with a project to address this issue. Questions to consider for the presentation: How did you become aware of the issue or problem? What are others doing to address the issue? Does your project involve working with existing organizations? Would any expenses be involved in the project? What problems might be encountered in carrying out the project? How would you measure the success of the project? What did you learn from researching the project? Handouts can be used. Encourage feedback from class. Organize the material and speak clearly and be sure to submit the electronic version of the presentation through Canvas.
