Design a Study

A publisher recently made available an ebook and would like to know if adding an auditory option is something that is needed. The ebook is a general psychology book and has been used by Professor Lane for over a year. Professor Lane likes the book his students like the book as well. Professor Lane has offered to help the publisher and has agreed to offer his general psychology classes in to determine if adding the auditory option would be helpful to students. The auditory option allows students to have the ebook read out loud. This feature can be enabled using both the computer version and the mobile version. This would allow students to listen to the book whether they are following along or just sitting back or even listening while they drive. Your task is to design a study to test the hypothesis ‘Does adding the auditory option help students better understand the material?’ Here is what you have: 1. Professor Lane has offered his 2 classes each have 50 students in them. The students are willing to participate because their professor is giving them extra credit. 2. You have access to their ebook grades. As part of his class students take quizzes after every chapter. 3. You have the freedom to set this research up how you want.
