Student 2 Hello Everyone the Empirical rule from my understanding after doing a little bit of research is it is used to predict numbers and outcomes in data most of the time by using the 68- 95-99.7 rule. Which is a statistical rule that says that for a normal or typical distribution most of all the data will fall between the three standard deviations 68-95-99.7. The example that I have come up with to use the rule in everyday life would be measuring the outcomes of the real estate market. I have the opportunity to work in a well know real estate office so I have been trying to associate things that I have learned while in school now and knowing that Realtors analyze data constantly to predict the market with growth but also deflation property taxes etc. You can use the empirical rule to help predict those data statistics.
