2  Case Study: Problems at the VA Health System Part One The prominent role of managers of healthcare facilities across the world is to correctly foster an organizational culture that allows staff members to conduct themselves in a way that indicates consistency with ethical standards and norms (Foglia et al., 2009). Ensuring that organizational and individual practices are in line with ethical standards and norms is dependent on several factors as opposed to nurturing the virtues on a personal level. From the leadership perspective, the fact that Veteran Affair’s administration allowed the crooked postponements of appointments is a dire disappointment to the dependents. Likewise, practices that led to wrong bookings and ineffectively controlled patient wait-up periods raise considerable moral worries. Therefore, it is crucial to understand that the issues exposed by the case study ought to be considered when conducting moral benchmarks, updating worker information, and deliberating on the allowed conduct within the health facilities.  The truth that the workers in the facilities propagated the ethical concerns and did not deem them wrong indicates that the organizational culture at Veteran Affairs facilities is questionable and needs a thorough reconsideration. The case study suggests that the involved leaders considerably introduced varied scheduling practices that are not in line with the veterans’ health administration policy provisions. Due to such incidents, it is right to state that the leaders faced a severe shortcoming when making effective, ethical decisions, resulting in more suffering and even death of some of the veteran patients. Another moral concern is the resignation of the secretary after the exposure of the prevailing rot. Instead of resigning, the leader had a binding obligation of finding effective interventions that could help clean up the mess within the organization.
