A. Research Design Paper –1.Using a case study, (This will be an organization that you know and are involved with [preferable] or one you make up[acceptable]) 2. students will synthesize the material studied into a research design (you either identify or make up a need within the organization you have chosen, listing the processes of how the problem was identified and then choose a research design based on the material you have been studying that allows you to study the need and how you would collect data to help resolve the need.) 3. and provide a rational for the particular method and analysis used. (explain why you choose this research design and any interventions for this particular problem at this particular organization supported by citations from the literature). This paper will be written according to the latest edition of the Turabian Manual for Writers using parenthetical references and a Bibliography. (SLO: 1, 2,3, 4)
Research Design Paper Layout
In a few weeks you will be submitting your Research Design Paper. It should follow the following outline:
This 15 page paper (exclusive of Bibliography) should reflect your understanding of organizational research design, data collection and analysis from a case study (conceptual) or actual organization.You should have an adequate number of sources to reflect a masters level paper (i.e. more than 10). The paper should conform to Turabian form with parenthetical citations (unless you are a non-MAL student). I am a MAL student
Papers should be subdivided into the following sections:
1. Problem statement (What are you trying to resolve or discover?)
2. Research Design employed and rational for choosing this design. (Optional small literature review on similar research?)
3. Data collection procedures (surveys, or questionnaires, or demographics, etc)
4. Data analysis procedures employed (How do you analyze the data collected and why?)
5. Conclusions based upon the data collected and analyzed.
6. Possible future research in this area for this organization
