The impact of Brexit and External Change on Strategic Management of UK SMEs in the recruitment industry from managerial perspective

These are two last chapters of my Management Enquiry (dissertation) Synthesis (discussion of the findings) here basically you need to take 5 key messages from the literature review, and five key messages from the data analysis and compare them, be critical, CONTRADICTION AND COMPARISON OF THE 5 key messages from lit review and data analysis. This chapter provides you with the opportunity to interpret and communicate your findings. As you consider what you have found out, you should relate this back to the literature review – using the theories and concepts that you discerned within this literature to help you to interpret why you have found what you have. Importantly, you should relate your findings to existing workplace practice/s.

You should return to your initial question/aim and the context provided by your literature review to summarise the relations between your new findings and existing knowledge: primarily, practice-based knowledge, but also academic knowledge.)

Chapter 6 Recommendations Reflect and Connect (Conclusion, recommendations and action plan)

This chapter should comprise three subsections:

1. drawing conclusions from your study

2. identifying appropriate practice-based recommendations based upon these conclusions

3. devising a resourced action plan

1. Drawing conclusions: present the case for the Enquiry’s success in meeting its objectives and aim/question, as well as any shortcomings and limitations that apply. You should draw on the conclusions to provide the client with some practical suggestions on how they might deal with the problem or issue in the future.

2. Identifying recommendations: From these conclusions and in recognising the limitations of the Enquiry you should identify fully-resources practice-based recommendations.

The recommendations may propose an action to change, to correct, or do something differently. It may suggest maintaining the current approach or actions to strengthen the approach. It is important that you make practical and workable recommendations (and not too many!). It is therefore advisable that they prioritise those recommendations that are likely to achieve the greatest effect.

The key aim of this chapter is to convince your professional/manager ‘client’ that what you are proposing is supported with a strong and persuasive business case. You are suggesting that the organisation make an investment in your ideas, from which they will gain significant benefits. It should be well-argued and should attempt to overcome the most likely objections that the management team might have about implementing your recommendation/s.

You should consider the reality of what you are proposing, with brief comments that focus on the solution to the problem being considered.

3) Action plan: These recommendations should be presented as a brief, but realistic, action plan or schedule for action illustrating how quickly the solution(s) could be implemented and when the benefits might start to be felt. See Appendix I for a suggested action plan format and column headings.

You are encouraged to conclude the chapter by suggesting further work or study needed on the topic, as well as ways the new work can be used or applied in other cases. If you have developed any strong personal opinions about the subject this is the place where such content is appropriate.
